Our environmental policy encompasses an awareness of and responsibility for our environmental impact, and a desire to tread lightly on this planet.
We recently had an environmental assessment of our Head Office in Toronto. The results showed that while we displayed an awareness for the environment through our current policies and procedures, we still had area's for improvement. We have taken the recommendations and implemented them not only in our Toronto office, but in all of our Ontario branches.
In an effort to uphold this we:
- are reducing our paper consumption by not printing
- monthly reports
- are using recycled paper
- recycling toner cartridges
- have an active recycling program in our offices
- relocated head office to be on subway line to allow for greater use of public transit
- migrating to home offices to reduce commuting
- provide an Emissions Offset Calculator on our website
